Five hunters in search of the intruder; a ferocious wolf, a wild beast, a danger. Inside the fences of the game reserve, the hunt becomes more absurd and confusing. For, who is actually the ‘trespasser’ here? And who is the prey? Are we out in the wild or is the intruder already inside? Questions more topical than ever in the Netherlands too, especially since the return of the wolf.

Manuela Infante is known for her ability to make fascinating philosophical themes concrete in a humorous way.In The Hunt, she questions the distinction – or perhaps the similarities? – between ‘man’ and ‘nature’. The performance rolls from one mini-story to the next, in which characters, situations and perspectives are constantly changing. A situation, movement or sound from one scene can be the centrepiece of the next mini story.

Infante completed studies in Chile and at the University of Amsterdam and is now a globally sought-after interdisciplinary theatre maker. After her studies, she worked in Brussels, Hanover, Basel, Chile, the United States, and Singapore, among others.
Together with composer Diego Noguera, NITE and Slagwerk Den Haag, she elaborates on her associative reflections. Expect an intriguing performance full of soundscapes that will challenge your thinking and stimulate your senses. Musical, absurdist and over the top.
