No Freedom for Mohamedou Ould Slahi

After six months of processing the VISA application of Mohamedou Ould Slahi, The Netherlands and its institutions have not yet been brave enough to grant Mohamedou his freedom, all in the name to ‘protect’ ours.
Unfortunately that means that, during the opening night of FREEDOM, Mohamedou left the biggest empty seat we have ever had during our premieres.
“Mohamedou’s story is gripping and one that needs to be told in as many ways as possible. It has been very special for all of us to work with him over the past months. The better you know his story, the worse it feels that he couldn’t be there at the premiere. His premiere. He’s still not free. That’s so painful.” – Guy Weizman
We hope that Mohamedou will be allowed to join us soon so we can further shape our collaboration.
