YARA’S WEDDING

Yara’s Wedding is an interdisciplinary performance directed by Guy Weizman, with text by Antigone Akgün, Rik van den Bos, Rasit Elibol and Mohamedou Ould Slahi Houbeini. Together this unique group of writers – inspired by the work of Edward Said “Orientalism” – wrote a play about framing based on origin, color, orientation, social status and cultural conflicts. No confrontation is avoided in this very musical and lively performance with 12 actors, dancers, singers and musicians from various backgrounds and nationalities.
The performance is multi-lingual (German, English, Dutch and Arabic) with surtitles.
Freedom

Freedom performed across the Netherlands in 2021 and 2022 and will have it’s German premiere on TanzKongress 2022 in Mainz. After summer Freedom can be seen on SIDance, Korea. In 2023 a French tour (Liberté) will follow.

TETRIS Mon Amour

TETRIS Mon Amour toured widely across the Netherlands, as well as in Suzanne Dellal Center for Dance and Theater (Tel Aviv), in Lille (La Rose Des Vents) and Bolzano Danza (Italy). An Asian tour got postponed due to the pandemic. Music composed by Thys (Thijs de Vlieger, part of the world famous NOISIA).

Mechanical Ecstasy

Mechanical Ecstasy did a club and theater tour in Holland, saw the theatre stages of Theatre National De Chaillot (Paris) and Teatro Calderon, Valladolid (Spain), performed on music festivals, and had it’s high with more than 10.000 people in the audience on the biggest music festival in the Netherlands: Lowlands Festival.

Swan Lake

Swan Lake, a big site specific performance where the audience visits the different acts in various spaces, performed across the Netherlands and on Bolzano Danza, Italy. In june 2022 it will be presented in La Rose Des Vents, Lille (France).

Swan Lake: The Game
The digital version of the performance, was parallel online throughout all tour dates hosted in The NITE hotel and was programmed on various festivals including Istanbul Theatre Festival (Turkey), CIRCE (Tbilisi, Georgia),Carlow Festival (Ireland) Bolzano Danza (Italy), and SIDance Festival (Seoul, Korea) and Attakalari Centre for Movement Arts (India).
